We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Captain Merv and Nautical Tiki Cruises! Captain Merv took us out to the Islamorada sandbar, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, sharing interesting local stories and facts along the way, but what really made the experience special was his sense of humor and easygoing personality. He kept us laughing the entire time and made everyone feel welcome and relaxed.
If you’re looking for a fun, memorable day on the water with a captain who truly loves what he does, look no further. Captain Merv is professional, entertaining, and an all-around great captain. We can’t recommend Nautical Tiki Cruises enough and would absolutely book with him again the next time we’re in the Keys!

Spent the day with Merv, he was an excellent captain! 10 our of 10 recommend! Our boat was not the round Tiki you see, this is a longer vessel with barstools and chairs on the front to sit. We snorkeled and spent time at the sandbar. Great day on the water!

We went out with Merv on May 14th. It was an excellent time and Merv is a phenomenal captain. We got out to the Sandbar, while taking our time in the mangroves looking for Manatees. We had a great day of hanging out on the boat and in the water and also had a good time chatting with Merv.
We highly recommend reaching out and booking a cruise.
The only thing I would suggest is to make sure to get the final address from the Meeting Point email. Viator gave us another address originally and it took us the completely wrong direction. We got there only just a few minutes over our start time since we had to drive 15 minutes the opposite direction. It is also my fault for not using the address given on the final email, but that original address from them was incorrect. Just book with Merv directly.

Had a great time with Capt Merv and will definitely return. He was very helpful and friendly. His sturdy ship provides some welcome shade and as well as a relaxing pace. A value for sure. Having a bar and a “head” on board makes for a fun trip.

We booked a private afternoon tiki cruise in Islamorada with Captain Merv on one of the coldest and windiest days of our entire trip — and it still ended up being one of our favorite experiences in the Keys.
We weren’t exactly dressed for the weather (Florida mindset 😅), but Captain Merv had us covered — literally. We ended up buying one of his long sleeve tees to keep warm, which honestly made the whole thing even more memorable.
Despite the wind, the ride was smooth and relaxed. Captain Merv’s easygoing personality, local knowledge, and great energy made it feel like we were out on the water with an old friend! The views were beautiful — and to top it off, we saw lots of dolphins swimming nearby, which made the afternoon feel extra special.
If it was that much fun in less-than-perfect weather, I can only imagine how amazing it is on a calm, sunny afternoon.
Highly recommend booking a private cruise with Captain Merv — and maybe grab the long sleeve tee just in case 😉

We had an amazing time on the sunset tiki boat cruise with Captain Merv! From the moment we stepped aboard, the vibe was relaxed, fun, and perfectly tropical. The boat itself is such a unique experience—comfortable, well-kept, and ideal for soaking in the sunset views.

Captain Merv is awesome. He was very aware of certain needs of our group and made sure each was okay. Shares his knowledge of the area, where to see a Manatee and Dolphins. I recommend if you want a relaxing enjoyable several hours…..book with Captain Mery!

What a great time! We went out drinking world class Italian sparkling wine from Barone Pizzini hosted by the winery itself. Amazing! Our captain was incredible. Knew all the right spots to go to where it was least windy and we could connect the two boats and have our party on the water.

Without a down, hands down the most AMAZING experience of our life! I am so glad I called up Merv and he guided me through the entire thing. He was so quick to answer all my questions and is so knowledgeable on the entire area. He was amazing from start to finish— showed us so many areas and shared the history of pretty much everything we saw. We saw sharks, a sting ray, grouper fish, a ton of fish, barracuda’s, and more! He was so amazing that he even brought stuff for us to snorkel with and has a great recommendation list on what to bring with you to make everything be as smooth as possible. We cannot wait to come back and bring the kiddos next time! Merv you were an absolute GEM and we can’t wait to see you again!!!! 100000% worth every penny spent. We haven’t stopped talking about the turquoise blue water that made all my dreams come true! WOW.
